    Radiography and Ultrasonography

Radiology and Ultrasound are imaging techniques that are diagnostic cornerstones in veterinary medicine. These tools allow us to look inside the body and often reveal information that may not be discernable on physical exam alone. By using radiographs and ultrasound, we can visualize every organ in the body including the heart, lungs, and abdominal organ such as liver, spleen, stomach, kidneys, and bladder. Our doctors can evaluate the size, shape, and position of these organs which can be altered by disease processes. Using these parameters we can often identify abnormalities or diagnose disease. These tests are safe, painless, non-invasive, and require very low doses of radiation. Should your pet require these diagnostics, our experienced staff can guide you through the testing procedures, explain the imaging details and discuss the findings with you in a positive and supportive manner.
